Diamond Christmas Gifts: Studs, Tennis Bracelets and Loose Stones

For Christmas, give diamond studs or a tennis bracelet: neither needs a ring size. Studs that are ready to ship can be ordered until mid-December. Tennis bracelets and other made-to-order pieces take several weeks, so their last day comes much earlier. The dates below come from the pieces' own making times.

Last Day to Order for Christmas

For delivery by Thursday, December 24, from each kind's longest making time, so every piece of that kind arrives in time; many arrive sooner, and each piece's page shows its own dates. Loose diamonds vary stone by stone: each stone's page shows when it arrives.

What's the Best Diamond Gift for Christmas?

Diamond studs if you want the safest choice, a tennis bracelet if you want something she'll notice on her wrist every day.

Studs suit everyone and need nothing measured. Choose a round for a classic look, or an oval or pear for something a little different. The pair's carat weight is shared between the two earrings, so a 1 carat pair is two half-carat diamonds.

A tennis bracelet is the bigger gesture: a continuous line of diamonds made to the length you order. Every bracelet is made to order, so order it by the date at the top of this page.

Which Diamond Gift for Your Wife, Girlfriend, Mom or Daughter?

Studs work for all four; a tennis bracelet is the classic gift for a wife or a mother on a big year.

For your wife, a tennis bracelet in the gold she already wears, or a larger pair of studs than the ones she has.

For your girlfriend, studs: a diamond gift that is clearly not a ring, so it never reads as a proposal.

For your mom, studs in the gold she wears most, sized to suit her everyday style.

For your daughter, a small pair of lab-grown studs with push backs, easy to wear every day.

How Do I Find Her Bracelet Size Without Asking?

Measure a bracelet she already wears, end to end, clasp included, and order that length.

If she has no bracelet to borrow, measure her wrist instead and add half an inch to an inch, the usual rule. A 7 inch bracelet fits a 6.5 inch wrist closely. Our bracelets come in half-inch steps from 6 to 8.5 inches.

The 14 days start when the parcel is delivered, not when the gift is opened. If you order early, check the piece when it arrives, and start any return within those 14 days.

Missed the Last Day to Order?

Choose diamond studs marked ready to ship, or give a certified loose diamond, which can be set later by a jeweler of your choosing.

Studs marked ready to ship leave within one to two business days. A loose diamond comes with its grading report, and many ship in one to two business days too; each stone's page shows when it should arrive.

Questions

What is the last day to order for Christmas?

It depends on the piece. Studs marked ready to ship can be ordered until the date shown at the top of this page, in mid-December. Tennis bracelets and other made-to-order pieces take several weeks, so their last day is in November. Each piece's page shows the dates it should arrive between.

Can I return a Christmas gift?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery. The 14 days start when the parcel is delivered, not on Christmas Day, so if you order early, start any return within 14 days of delivery.

Is delivery insured?

Yes. Every order is insured until it is delivered and needs a signature on delivery. Delivery is free on orders of $100 or more.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. A lab-grown diamond is the same carbon crystal as a mined one, with the same hardness and sparkle. The Federal Trade Commission's Jewelry Guides treat it as a diamond, described with its origin.
