Rewards Terms
Last updated October 15, 2026.
Rewards is how we thank you for shopping with Love & Carat: every stone and piece of jewelry you buy earns points, and points take money off your next order. These terms explain how it works. They sit beside our terms and conditions of sale, and nothing in them affects your legal rights.
The Short Version
- Earn: 1 point for every £1, $1, €1, C$1 or A$1 you pay for stones and jewelry, after any discount. Delivery, taxes and duties don't earn points.
- Unlock: points are pending until your order's 14-day return window has closed, and are yours the day after. Return an item and its points go with it.
- Spend: 100 points take £2, $2, €2, C$2 or A$2 off, in the currency of the order you use them on. Use them from 500 points, on up to 20% of an order, alongside a code.
- Expire: points last 24 months from your latest order, and every new order resets the clock. We email you 30 days before any expire.
- Points have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold or swapped for money.
1. Who Can Collect Points
Anyone with a Love & Carat account. Orders paid after Rewards began earn points; earlier orders don't. If you check out as a guest, open your order from the link in your confirmation email and create your account with the same email address: the order's points are then yours.
Reviews never earn points, and nothing else we offer depends on what you say in a review.
2. Earning Points
You earn 1 point for every whole £1, $1, €1, C$1 or A$1 you pay for the items in an order, after any code and any points you used. Part of a pound or dollar doesn't earn a point. Delivery, taxes and duties never earn points.
Points appear in your account as pending as soon as your order is paid.
3. When Points Unlock
Pending points unlock the day after your order's change-of-mind return window closes. The window is 14 days from delivery, so points from an order delivered on 1 March unlock on 16 March. If you have started a return, they wait until it's settled.
If you return or cancel an item, the points it earned are removed, and so are the points for any part of an order we refund. If those points had already unlocked and been spent, your balance can go below zero; the points from your next order repay it first.
4. Using Points
Tick Use My Points in your bag before you check out. You can use points once you have at least 500, on up to 20% of what an order costs after any code. Every 100 points take £2, $2, €2, C$2 or A$2 off, in the currency of that order. The bag shows how many points go on the order and what they take off before you pay.
Points you use come off your balance when you go to payment, and come back if you don't complete it. If an order you used points on is cancelled or refunded, the points come back to your balance; for a part refund, in the same share.
5. When Points Expire
Points expire 24 months after your latest paid order. Each new order resets the clock for your whole balance. We email you 30 days before points are due to expire. If we ever pause Rewards, your points don't expire while it's paused, or within 30 days of it starting again.
6. Your Account
Your balance and every movement of your points are in your account, under Rewards. If you delete your account, your points are deleted with it and can't be restored. Your points history is part of the copy of your information you can download from your account; see our privacy notice.
If points were added to your account by mistake, we may correct your balance, and the correction and its reason will show in your account. We may remove points gained through fraud or misuse of Rewards, for example orders placed only to collect points and then returned.
7. Changes to Rewards
We may change these terms, the number of points an order earns or what they're worth, or end Rewards. If a change would reduce the value of points you already hold, or if we end Rewards, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email and on this page, and you can use your points in that time.
8. The Legal Part
Points are a thank-you, not money or a payment method: they have no cash value, and you can't exchange them for cash, transfer them to someone else or combine them across accounts. These terms are governed by the same law as our terms and conditions of sale, and our complaints process applies to them in the same way.
